Gravenstein Harvest

We just finished harvesting 211 pounds of Gravenstein apples from one tree that’s about 100 years old! Roxy helped supervise all of the work and enjoyed hanging out at the farm with us.

Gravensteins have incredible flavor making them great for eating fresh, cooking, and one of the best apples for pies, sauces, and juice. These apples are medium to large, tender, greenish-yellow with broken stripes of red with flesh that is firm, crisp, juicy, and tart.

This is a very old heirloom variety that was discovered in 1669. Gravensteins do not keep that well but with such incredible flavor, you won’t want to wait to use them!
