Gravenstein apples have a crisp, juicy, and tart flavor making it great for eating fresh, cooking, and one of the best apples for pies. It is also wonderful for sauces and juice. They are medium to large, tender, greenish-yellow with broken stripes of red.
 
Gravenstein is a very old heirloom variety that was discovered in 1669. They do not keep that well but with such incredible flavor, you won’t want to wait to use them!
