Join us at Seagate Farm on Sunday, February 11th from 1:30 to 4pm for our winter Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop led by Madrona Murphy of Kwiaht, with Greg Meyer and Kevin Murphy as instructors. This will be a hands-on workshop for winter pruning of fruit trees led by several experts in the field.
Seagate Farm is located at 300 Sandwith Road on San Juan Island (near Beaverton Valley and Sandwith Road intersection) and will take place on Sunday, February 11th from 1:30 to 4:00pm. Funding for the workshop is from a WSDA specialty crop block grant.
Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather, wear mud boots, and bring whatever you need to be comfortable outdoors (water, warm clothes, etc.). Bring pruning tools with you for the hands-on pruning and so we can also talk about appropriate pruning tools and tool maintenance. This is a free event and there is no need to register beforehand. You can e-mail John at seagatefarm.wa@gmail.com if you have any questions.
